Filming our Prelim
As a group we wanted our prelim music video to be as close
and accurate to the original as possible. We chose the music video that we did
as it has many cuts and various different shots and camera angles. This made it
harder to film but would show off our editing skills later of when finalising
our video. We assigned ourselves to members of the band as a way of deciding
who would do what within the video. Was hard at first as there are 5 members of
the band and we were in a group of just 4. However luckily within the opening minute
only 2 members are really shown and the other 3 are hardly seen. This just
meant that we had to split up the 2 main members between the 4 of us. Tis was
easy especially in shots when all band members featured. In-between every shot
we looked back at the original video to make sure that we were being as
accurate as possible when staying true to the video. The original video takes
place in a music studio. Thankfully our school has many music studios so we filmed
in a variety of them choosing which studio fitted the shot the best. Overall
the shots that we got where of good quality and fit the video very well.
