History of the music video

Oscar Fischinger would pair short films with musical tracks. At the endo of the short films he would plug the music, inviting people to buy the record at their local record store. For example
'Komposition in Blau' (1935)
With movies moving forward with new technology to be known as ‘soundies’ a thing that did not change was the use of music within the films. These were often more sexually daring.
In France the introduction of the Scopitone allowed for music videos to evolve into something more similar to what we know today. Around 1965 the machine moved to the U.S.A. these new music videos would cost on average $8000 to make.
Music videos evolved to complement the rise of rock and roll.
