This is a simple magazine advert. This magazine advert is promoting the new album by popular band The Smiths. The advert itself is very simple and just shows the 4 band members in a dark room. The colour scheme is brown black and white. No other colours are used. This creates a certain feel to the band which is most likely the emotions that are laid out on their album. The dark colour scheme creates a vintage look with the browns mixed in. this again could be a representation of the albums sound.

This magazine advert is for the album by band stereophonics. The advert shows the band in the middle sat at a table, however the table is in the middle of the ocean. There are many possible reasons to why this is the case. The ocean could be a representation of the new album and its sound. It could also just be because it matches the albums cover. Out of all 4 band members only one is acknowledging the camera. This member is the lead singer and the advert presents him as the main focus of the band.

To edit my prelim task I used the program Adobe Premier pro. This was the obvious choice for editing as it is easy to use but has a variety of different option. For example the original music video was in a black and white colour scheme as I wanted my video to be as similar to the original as possible I was able to replicate the colour scheme within the Adobe premiere pro program. The first thing I did while editing was making sure that all of the clips were in the correct order. Once this was done I then proceeded to make sure that they were the right length. To do this I simply cut out the parts of the clips that I did not need. I then changed to colours to the black and white seen in the original video. Once all of this was done I added the music and synced the video and music together so that they ran perfectly side by side.
